Sessions and evaluations take place at your home, daycare, ABA, preschool, or anywhere else your child spends the time! This model allows for maximum flexibility and convenience for the family, as well as many additional benefits for the child. Virtual (telehealth) sessions are an excellent option for families who live outside our in-person service area! Virtual sessions are fun, effective, and secure through out HIPAA-compliant online portal. Learn more about virtual therapy services here.
An evaluation is an assessment of your child's communication skills, including language comprehension and expression, speech sound production, voice, fluency, and/or social skills. A formal evaluation report is available following our session, as well as a customized treatment plan and home program recommendations.
An individualized treatment plan is designed to target your child's exact needs. Family participation is encouraged, and home program recommendations will be provided for additional practice between sessions.
Intensive programs are also available and planned on a case-by-case basis.
An AAC (Alternative/Augmentative Communication) evaluation consists of multiple steps. First, a comprehensive evaluation is completed to determine your child's current skills. Next, we trial communication device(s) or program(s) across multiple therapy sessions. An individualized recommendation will be made and a funding application completed, if applicable.
An individualized home program is created for all Blue Sage families. We also offer separate, in-depth parent coaching and education sessions. This option is great for families whose children have graduated from therapy, but would still benefit from a "maintenance" plan. Families may also select this service based on individualized needs such as scheduling, preference, or budget.
