Good Faith Estimate

A Good Faith Estimate (GFE) is a document that outlines the expected costs of speech therapy services, helping families plan for the financial investment in their child’s care. This estimate does not obligate you to complete a set number of sessions. It is simply a tool to promote transparency, protect you from unexpected fees, and assist in budgeting for therapy.

What’s Included in a Good Faith Estimate?

Services Expected

The GFE includes which services are anticipated for your child's course of treatment. This typically includes 1 evaluation per 6 month treatment cycle as well as treatment sessions (including standard sessions, as well as intensive sessions.)

Frequency and Duration of Services

Treatment cycles are typically 6 months, so this is what we plan for on the GFE. We will make a plan for how many sessions are recommended per week (generally 1-2), across the treatment cycles. We use this information to estimate the cost of services over the treatment cycle.

I want to ensure that your investment in speech therapy is flexible, predictable, and transparent. No surprises! If you ever have questions about your estimate, I am happy to discuss options and help you plan for services that best fit your family’s needs. It's also important to remember that this document is not set in stone. If we need to make changes, we can! Want to add intensive sessions that weren't originally planned for? No problem! I will bring an updated GFE to our next session for us to review.
